SCSB Initial loading process

At the time of initial load and accession of the Items into the database, Partners need to provide the IMS Location for that item, in other words, at the time of accession ReCAP needs location code to store the item. Previously, we had one location which was ReCAP by default. But now onwards, after Integration with Harvard University, ReCAP needs location code to enter into details of the item.
Below is the summary in points -

  1. New Item which needs to be accessed in the Database, it must have the location code

  2. If location code is not available, Database makes location code as "Unknown Location" which has been created to specify any Item stored without the location code.

  3. For existing Items, SCSB is making location code as "ReCAP", but for the new Items arriving for accession from Harvard University, we have two scenarios -
    a) Item with the location code will be given ims_location from two options, whichever it gets stored -"ReCAP" or "HD"
    b) Item without the location code will be given ims_location as "Unknown Location" and the record will be marked incomplete.
